Mermaid's Purse is situated in the charming North Norfolk seaside town of Wells-Next-The-Sea. Going strong for nine years now, we are three very different shops under one roof, often referred to by our customers as 'the nicest shop in Wells'.
The gift shop offers gorgeous gifts for all occasions, and beautiful things for the home and garden that you won't find just anywhere. Our clothes shop offers casual clothing and accessories from fashionable labels including Animal, Bench and Roxy. The popular Coffee Shop offers freshly filled rolls, light bites, savoury snacks and delicious desserts just a stone's throw from the famous harbour. Sit back, relax and enjoy brunch, lunch or afternoon tea in our picturesque picnic garden.
And if you're curious as to where the name of the shop comes from, Mermaid's Purse is the name for the purse-shaped egg case of certain skates and sharks that can be found on many local beaches.
